Set Up

This section is here to teach you how to set up your Clarinet properly. Make sure you follow the instructions carefully.

STEP 1:

Take out the bottom piece of the clarinet and place standing upright. This piece should look like the end of a horn.

STEP 2:

Take out your 2nd to last piece and grease the cork on the bottom, then insert this piece into the bottom piece. The 2nd to last piece has 1 cork on the bottom.

STEP 3:

Take out your middle piece and grese the bottom cork, then insert the bottom of this piece into the top of the piece before it. The middle piece has 2 corks. 1 at each end.

STEP 4:

Grese the top cork of your middle piece, then take out your barrel and attach the wide end to the top of the middle piece. The barrel looks like a tube with no corks.

STEP 5:

Take out your mouthpiece and grese the cork, then attach this to the thin end of the barrel. The mouthpiece looks like the barrel with a slanted end and a thin hole.

STEP 6:

Take out your reed and clamp. The reed looks like a thin piece of wood and the clamp looks like a ring with 2 tightening screws. Place the reed on the gap in the mouthpiece and fasten in place by placing the clamp around the mouthpiece and reed. The reed should sit at the top of the mouthpiece with a little black coming through.

If you are confused about which piece to put where, there is a diagram below labeling them so you know which is which.
